BHUBANESWAR: Vigilance sleuths in association with Forest officials have seized timber worth over Rs 57,000 from the illegal possession of a person at Kantabanji in Balangir district. Acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted on the house of one Abdul Kedar and timber of different sizes totalling 57.11 cft was seized. Kedar did not have any authorisation for storing the quantity the timber.
