E UND P Wuertz Gmbh the eminent enterprise from Germany launches its exclusive range of wetting and releasing agent. The distinctive range of products is anticipated to be immensely helpful for the industry people.
Wetting Agent PAT – 959
PAT® wetting agents already reduce surface tension of resin dilutions in low dosages. The resin can penetrate the paper better and more evenly. In combination with PAT® catalysts, PAT® release agents and a suitable resin a perfectly closed laminated surface with high gloss can be created.
PAT® wetting agents are colorless liquids which do not disintegrate during normal laminating temperatures. Color variations and spots, therefore, no longer occur during lamination. These are environmentally friendly, nonylphenolic- free and non- foaming.
PAT-959 is a liquid wetting agent to improve the quality of the paper impregnated with watery resins, especially melamine resin and urea resin. With PAT-959 an even resin film on the surface can be obtained. The special composition of PAT-959 effect a closer surface and good brightness, especially in short cycling process. In the case of overfeeding no graying is caused, even at critical decors. There is almost no color-drift when using PAT-959.
PROPERTIES
•Density -- 1 gram / c.c.
•Active Ingredients -- 50%
•Shelf Life -- Minimum one year
•As PAT- 959 is a un- buffered system there is no influence on the pH value of the resin
APPLICATION
•Dosage 0.2 -0.5 % (Based on total resin solution) Careful admixing is imperative
•In case of weak or uneven absorbing paper a dosage of 1% of PAT-959 is opportune
•Although PAT-959 has only low foam formation, avoid admixing air into the resin
Releasing Agent PAT – 523/W
Due to the use of internal PAT® release agents, treatment of molds with external release agents is hardly necessary. There is no need to apply external release agents anymore and mold cleaning intervals are extended. This helps to reduce production costs effectively while increasing production capacity. For many of the offered products, post- processing costs are reduced as surface quality increases and painting and laminating capability are improved.
Fiber- reinforced thermosets show additional positive effects, which confirm the use of internal PAT® release agents. With improved wetting of fibers, the mechanical properties of the produced parts are generally improved. In some cases, tensile strength and bending strength are increased by 20% and more.
Due to low allowance quantity and virtually complete cross- linking with the resin matrix, the remaining physical and chemical properties of the finished products are not influenced.
Internally applied PAT® release agents are provided for the processing of thermosets for nearly all molding compounds, production processes and mold materials. They are free of waxes and silicone. With internal release agent PAT 523/W external release agent is not necessary, especially in short cycling process. There is almost no color- drift when using PAT 523/W.
PAT-523/W is an internal release agent, especially formulated for water- based resin systems. Best results are obtained with melamine resins. Normally it’s an additional treatment or less, Clear solution.
At lower temperature PAT- 523/W may settle. Warm to room temperature and stir gently to return PAT523 /W to original consistency. The release property will not affected by this.
