LVL raises profitability

LVL is an engineered product available in almost limitless dimensions. It possesses uniform quality, consistent straightness and is produced to meet the exact specifications of the end-user, with no waste. LVL is used in everything from load-bearing structures to furniture frames.

From low-cost raw material to high value end products

Large dimension LVL can be made from small-diameter trees. This enables low-cost material to be processed into high value end products, which satisfy the requirements of the most demanding end-users. The structural properties of LVL can be tailored to accommodate different raw material densities, veneer thicknesses, veneer qualities, lay-up methods and glues.


Log handling


Log-handling lines, from conditioning to peeling. Raute provides an extensive range of log-handling lines. Systems are designed to limit downtime and to realize the most effective recovery from the raw material. Raute is able to supply log handling lines that are capable of handling large volumes of small-diameter plantation wood and species that may require special handling due to their mechanical properties.


 

Peeling 

“Smart” peeling solutions for a wide range of wood species. Raute lathes are in use worldwide, processing a wide range of species. This is the industry’s unique peeling needs with innovative products.  These include the triple spindle lathe and the rotary veneer clipper, both of which have raised the capacity of veneer peeling lines.

Drying 

 

“Smart” drying solutions for all species. Raute drying systems fulfill the most important requirements of the plywood industry for capacity and quality.  The key issues when drying veneer are to ensure uniform moisture content, produce high-quality veneer and to dry at with high capacity.  In all cases, Raute dryers deliver, thanks to their excellent thermal efficiency, precise humidity control and “smart” automatic controls.  Our drying lines may also be equipped with automatic grading and stacking systems that utilize proven camera scanning technology.
